FENTONS OF BOURNE LTD have been appointed sole UK distributor for Becx hedge cutters who now manufacture 14 different hedge trimming attachments with a working width between 75cm and 300cm. They also manufacture weed brushes, weed brush/edge cutters and various attachments for mounting hedge trimmers onto excavators.
Glen Bellamy, a director at Fentons, commenting on the agreement said
“We have a track record of being sole importers; for over 25 years we have represented Homburg Draincleaners, another Netherlands-based company that manufactures specialist drainage maintenance equipment for the agricultural sector.
In keeping with the trend for electrification Becx have recently introduced their first electric hedge trimmer. With a working width of 75cm its two hydromotors have been replaced by 48-volt electric motors and can be mounted on almost any electrically driven tool carrier.
Already we have had interest from local authorities for their cut and collect equipment. With the trend for more environmental working practices, this ticks several boxes as the clippings can be collected in a single pass, saving labour, and then composted for internal use or for sale as an income generator.”

All lights are still green for the Show to go ahead in just 3 weeks’ time. Preparations and promotion of the event are in full swing and we anticipate having around 200 exhibitors. A special YAMS pull-out supplement will appear in the Yorkshire Post on Saturday 22nd January which includes details of all the stands and layout plan together with editorial and other information.
Please note the event is currently subject to the government’s Covid Passport Regulations requiring confirmation of 2 vaccinations or a Lateral Flow within 48 hours. However these regulations do expire on 26th January so are subject to further update.
At the present time we believe that YAMS will be able to take place on 2nd February and by which time far greater numbers will have had their booster vaccination. We will certainly be doing all we can to ensure the show goes ahead and that everyone remains safe.
The size of the event means that we will have to comply with Government Covid “passport regulations” and we are consulting with our local authority on the measures to put in place. This will probably require all visitors to have a NHS Covid pass or show they have a negative PCR or lateral flow test within the past 48 hours.
Application packs for the 2022 Show to be held on 2nd February are now available to download on the Exhibitor page
