We are delighted to be attending our 2nd Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show. 2020 sees Derwent Buyers Group celebrate its 25th Year in business.  We are exceptionally proud of this achievement.

Supporting our members with their purchasing and providing an invaluable network, together we are striving forward.  Our honest and transparent approach helps our members save time and money.

Visit us in the Ebor Hall Stand EH7.

If you are in a car coming from the West on the A64 I would recommend using the free Park & Ride by turning left off the Grimston Bar roundabout towards York and the Park is approximately half a mile on the left.  It is all on tarmac and then just hop on the bus to get dropped off at the show-field entrance.  Buses run every 10-15 minutes.

Second recommendation is to spend some time looking around all the small independent businesses and engineers who have a fantastic range of bespoke and  innovative products.  Start  in the Ebor Hall behind the cattle docks as there is a great selection of stands in there plus many of these have some Early Bird discount vouchers for a bacon sandwich!

At lunchtime we have got a fantastic hog roast on in the main catering marquee and then is the alternative of a Roaming Rumpus Shorthorn burger.

D Clifford & Sons Ltd are the UK distributor for SUIRE bale unrollers-spreaders, which unroll round bales up to 1.8m diameter along feeding barriers and can spread straw up to 7m reach without chopping and without dust, providing better bedding consistency and a better environment for both animals and  humans.  They will be on Stand J2 with information about a range of bedding, feeding and Andersonbale handling equipment including their self-loading bale trailers.

East Riding Horticulture Ltd will be on Stand MK226 offering tree plant stake packages, and Bio Spiral tree guards.

BDC Systems Ltd will be exhibiting on Stand 204 in the Exhibition Hall where they will have their new Moisture Monitoring System taking centre  stage.  This accurately and automatically checks moisture content of wet grain whilst it passes through a grain drying plant which has long been the challenge for grain dryer suppliers.  BDC Systems now has its own system with bespoke sampling units whereby grain is taken from both the incoming (wet) elevator and outgoing (dry) elevator on a plant.  These samples are processed through a multi-chamber duct incorporating a Sinar moisture probe which gives live readings displayed on a screen.

The system can be retro-fitted to any grain drying system subject to a site survey and data can be remotely viewed on devices such as mobile phones.  Matt Grainge is Head of Product Development and states “following extensive on-site testing at several plants around the country we are confident that the new Moisture Monitor is producing accurate real time data.  This information can be used to adjust dryer settings which will save money and ensure grain goes into storage at its optimum moisture content.”

Rican ATV have been appointed as a new Honda authorised ATV dealer for the Yorkshire and Humberside regions.  They will be exhibiting for the first time at YAMS on Stand T10.

Cowton Farming Company will be showcasing their precision spreader which has been printed up as a tribute to fallen heroes.  Their services include supplying and spreading bio-solids, gypsum, lime etc along with stubble to stubble contract farm services

We are delighted that the Yorkshire Rural Support Network will be joining us again, providing farmer health checks on show day, including Beryl the Bus – the Macmillan Cancer Care unit.

“It was a real pleasure on a bright February morning to drive straight into the well organised site without any queues and park before heading to the refreshment tent for a reasonably priced and very tasty breakfast. Many farmers I spoke to said they were glad to see their local dealers exhibiting with a huge array of the latest machinery on display, along with interesting ancillary stands. ‘It feels like a show for the North’s farmers’ was the comment heard most.” Ian Wilkinson – The Farmers’ Mart

“Thank you for organising such a marvellous event.  A great job all round.  We had fantastic support from our customer base which has led to some excellent sales enquiries.  We received really positive comments about the show and the way it was managed, from catering to car parking.” Russell Group

Great turn out for YAMS 2022 show.  I didn't actually manage to take any photos all day as it was so busy!  Looking forward to doing it again next year." James Falkingham
